VRF and Hydronics - A Strategic Comparison
Kyle DelPiano, Vice President of Strategic Market Development, JMP Equipment Company.
Speaker Bio:
Kyle DelPiano is the Vice President of Strategic Market Development, for the JMP Equipment Company. In this role, he works with senior management within the Commercial building segment and other divisions to develop and drive the strategic direction for the JMP equipment company. Kyle has nearly 17 years of experience in the industry in a variety of sales, training, strategic and marketing roles.
Kyle graduated from Auburn University in 2007, with a Bachelor of Science degree in polymer and fiber engineering, concentration in mechanics. Prior to joining JMP Equipment Company in 2023, since 2014, he was the Director of Sales for Xylem (XYL) who is a large water infrastructure company where he was able to apply his skills and knowledge to cultivate lasting relationships.
He is LEED AP certified and an active committee member of HIA-C Hydraulic Industrial Alliance. He is a frequent ASHRAE presenter and is a past ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer.
In addition to numerous technical presentations, Kyle has authored articles that have appeared in national industry publications on topics such as the advantages of hydronic systems versus variable refrigerant flow systems (VRF) as well as systems efficiency and modern pump selection. He recently authored an article on testing methods for new Department of Energy pump efficiency standards. As of recently he is starting his focus to help General Contractors and Developers on their Decarbonization journey.
He espouses the benefits of mentorship for career and personal development, having been on the receiving end of great advice and feedback as well as paying it forward by helping new engineers navigate the ever-changing industry. He’s passionate about helping people, whether that’s volunteering through his church, supporting corporate philanthropy programs or working through a customer question.
He wholeheartedly believes his responsibility as an engineer is to never stop learning and to share his industry knowledge with those around him, inspired by the Auburn University creed: “I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.”
